Okay, over the past 6 months many of you AMAZING Christians that read my blog have contacted me and informed me of your favorite books of the Bible, Bible prayers, and today I’d like to share with you the 99 bible verses that have been shared with me the most!

I’m certain that a few of your favorite Bible verses are listed below, but if you think I’m missing a few, then please share them with me!

Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

Proverbs 22:6

Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

2 Timothy 1:7

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

I’m not sure it’ll stay on the internet for long if Big Tech has their way.

So I strongly advise you to view it this second to protect yourself and your family.

  3. I used to run a Kung Fu school, and I decided to do an ethics curriculum based on the Bible. I had 156 questions, and the answer to each question would be a quote from the Bible. One of these days, I would like to get a chance to publish it in full. So many of them overlap here, and it felt very comforting reading this again. Thank you.

      1. Ideally, I’ll pull my entire curriculum together from the Kung Fu school and publish it all together. But COVID was not kind to my waistline, so I need to get back into shape before I start taking pictures of myself for such a project. But I’ve started organizing things towards that and my daughter and I have started working out together twice a week at the local gym, so hopefully in a year or two.

  5. I like song more than verses, so have been writing scripture into songs for a couple years now. Not “guitar and band” worship & praise stuff, but still, “sung off the screen”.   25. My mother gave each of us four kids our life verses. Mine has worked well for 71 years. I’m 79 now. Mom went to be with Jesus at 82. Dad at 86. But my verse was Proverbs 3:5, 6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, Acknowledge Him in all thy ways and He will direct your path. I love this verse as it covers everything I’ll run into in life. It’s no accident that each stanza starts with “Trust” and “Acknowledge.” In other-words, in ALL things look to Jesus, and then Trust His answer. And then, of course, “Obey.”

    It’s hard to narrow your selection of verses that Christians should memorize down to 99. I guess #100 would be my favorite selection that I call my “life verse”: Romans 8:28:

    And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

  34. This is the one I usually prayed while double timing whenever I was ordered to report immediately to my Commanding General to discuss whatever operation I was running at the time.

    Proverbs 16:3
    “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

    King James Version (KJV)

    Finally, I looked and didn’t see this one. It is worth mentioning more than once if you or someone else has beaten me to the punch.

    I like the reminder how easy it is to do the things you’re so sure you would never do. No one goes out planning to do wrong but we so easily slip into it.

  43. This is excellent! I find myself highlighting verses like this in my Bible, then way down the road, I’ll come across another “memorable” one and say “I’ve had this Bible for years, why isn’t that verse highlighted yet??” XD
