NO!
Why?
Because abortion is a unforgivable sin.
If you disagree, please leave a comment!
The Bible references an unforgivable sin, which has led to considerable speculation about what it specifically entails. Some have concluded, including yours truly, that abortion must be this sin, reasoning that since murder is among the gravest offenses—and because abortion is in fact murder, it must therefore be unforgivable. But is this conclusion accurate? Yes!

God’s mercy and grace is unlimited toward those who trust in his son Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. All believers are promised eternity in heaven. Otherwise, Christ’s sacrifice on the cross would have been in vain. He desires that all would be saved but he has given us the choice. The only unpardonable sin is not believing in Christ as Lord and savior. We demonstrate our love and obedience to God for repenting of our sins, as he has commanded us, and he has promised to forgive us. (1 Timothy 2:4; John 3:16; Matthew 12:31-32; 1 John 1:9)

This is one of those questions that make you go, “Hmmm.” The Bible clearly says in Acts 16:31, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” This is the only qualification to be saved, or enter heaven.
While aortion is murder, God is forgiving. Moses murdered, David committed adultery, and Peter turned his back on the Lord. Yet, they were saved. Why? Because they were forgiven.
According to the Bible, only one sin can keep us out of heaven. Jesus said in Mark 3:28-29,
“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”
Thank you for sharing this thought provoking question.

Very interesting and yeah you got my attention. Scripture mentions about blasphemy against the holy spirit. It is possible to argue that since a mother is configured to love the life that is growing inside her, she possesses the holy spirit as a bond between her and the child, so if this mother turns terminally violent against this child you may argue that yeah! She actually is committing blasphemy against the holy spirit – again because the child also loves the mother absolutely. However, the holy spirit is not just about the love that manifests, when you are possessed with the spirit of holiness, you want to do everything good to make sure that love is defended and sustained, so clearly the mother that performs an abortion is not possessed with this spirit and is a sinner who needs to be brought before Jesus so she can be forgiven and be empowered until this spirit possesses her and she will never go back into sin.

Greetings The Christian Tech Nerd, I hope you are having a very enjoyable pleasant day.
Say, I was wondering , could you expand on your belief that murdering babies is the worst sin?
Some thoughts came to mind as to why you might believe that. However, I would like to hear your thoughts, to understand you better. Are you willing to do that? For example, how did you come to that belief? Or what lead to it, or what did you read that influenced it?
Thank you for letting me ask. I hope you have a cheerful weekend.

Hello! I would disagree! I am pro life and abortion is murder, however I would cite Matthew on the only unpardonable sin mentioned in the Bible:
““Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”

I love your passion, but if you go by what the Bible says, I’m correct! I’ve been teaching the Bible for over 30 years and have worked in the pro life movement, and I know some women of genuine faith who have had abortions prior to being saved, and what I’ve learned is that the grace and mercy of God reach much farther than would be allowed by our human sensibilities to what offends! We are all sinners and deserve hell, so be careful not to throw stones. Those with post-Abortion syndrome need our love and care, not our judgment!

Greetings The Christian Tech Nerd, How are you? I hope you are doing well and are having a super fabulous towonderful day.
Matthew 12:31-32, Therefore I say unto you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven. And whoever shall speak a word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or the age to come.
There is the unpardonable sin.
If a person tells a lie, steals anything regardless of size or value, looks with lust, hates someone which is murdering that person in your heart, uses God’s name in vain: omg, use Jesus Christ to express disgust, if a person does that, they are breaking God’s law, his ten commandments. When a person breaks God’s law, they are headed for God’s jail, a place called hell, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, black darkness, the fire never goes out, and the worm never dies. No chance of parole ever.
Here is the good news: God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ, lived a perfect sinless life, was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day, he was raised from the dead, showed himself alive to his disciples and over 500 people at one time, went back to heaven, sat down at God’s right hand where he lives forever to intercede for us. And he is coming back.
There are two things a person needs to be saved: saved from God’s wrath, saved from hell, saved from sin, is to repent and believe the gospel. Repentance is turning from sin. The Greek word for repent is metanoia. It literally means a change of mind. God gives a person a new mind. And to believe the gospel is to put your faith hope and trust is Jesus Christ alone. That way when you swing out over into eternity, you are trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ and not in any good works of your own.
What Jesus did on the cross is a legal transaction. God can take anyone’s sin and put it on Jesus and punish Jesus instead of the other person. That way God is just and the justifier of anyone that puts their faith, hope, and trust in Jesus Christ.
It is substitutionary atonement.
So even if a woman murders her baby in the womb, God can legally forgive her, pay her sin debt in the blood of Jesus, commute her death sentence and give her everlasting life as a free gift.
God says, come to me, though your sins be as scarlett, I will make them white as snow.
Jesus says, come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. That whosoever can be a woman who had an abortion. She needs to repent and believe the gospel
I have spoken with some women who have had an abortion. I share the gospel with them. The taking of a life is horrendous. The gospel of Jesus Christ is greater!

Unfortunately abortion was documented in Egyptian papyrus as early as 1550 BC and was known and practiced by the Greeks and Romans of Jesus’ day. Christ would have been aware. “There are none righteous, no not one.” Fortunately, all repentant believers are covered and washed clean by the blood of Christ.

I think killing is sin, stealing is sin, converting is sin, lying is sin but these sins can be forgiven.
John 16:9 TPT
[9] “ ‘Sin,’ because they refuse to believe in who I am. Not believing in Jesus Christ as the son of God is sin but blasphemy to Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven.
I realise you hate abortion with passion but try to be less judgmental. There are people who terminate pregnancy not because of choice but because of medical reasons which are beyond their control. We can’t make them feel worse than what they are going through already.

When I first read this, I did not comment or like the post, but you have something here. There is much discussion about the unpardonable sin. I have heard a panel of pastors discuss it many times. Jesus mentions the unpardonable sin when the Pharisees are calling something good (Jesus’ miracles) bad – from the Devil. So, the definition many pastors come up with is someone calling things bad good and good bad is unpardonable – we mix up the signals coming from the Holy Spirit. Kind of like when you wrote about how hard it is to be good. And people calling abortion good is calling a single bad thing good. So, under that definition, it is unpardonable. But for a girl who had an abortion because that seemed the only way out at the time and she has been wrecked with guilt ever sense, she can be saved.
But for the doctor who is making millions off the practice, can he stop long enough to see that what he is doing is bad? That is a slippery slope that may never be pardoned. Not due to one sin, or millions of counts of one sin, it has to do with the heart.
My wife always said that if there is breath, there is a chance for a sinner to repent, but I am not sure. I think some people have said this bad thing is good for so long that they do not listen to the Holy Spirit anymore. And I think that is at the root of what Jesus was saying when He said the unpardonable sin was blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. We totally shut down any chance of God speaking to us. I have seen that kind of person and I am sure you have seen them too. And not all of them work in the abortion industry, but for those in that industry, they would have to leave it to hear the Holy Spirit speak to them again.
So, a yes and no for your question.

Abortion is definitely murder, absolutely! The only way a person who has had or has performed an abortion will be forgiven is by repentance.
But think about this: Revelation 21:8 says: But the cowards, the abominable (foul, revolting, horrible, abhorrent… I’d say abortion is horrible and revolting), murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars – their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 says: “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators (unmarried persons having sex), nor idolaters (anything put before God), nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites (that includes even between men and women), nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards (how common is drunkenness) nor revilers (someone who speaks abusively or contemptuously to or about another person or thing), nor extortioners (think of any type of scammer; romance or otherwise), will inherit the kingdom of God.”
Think about it… cowards will end up in the lake of fire.… If being fearful will send you to the lake of fire, then definitely killing an unborn child will, too. While abortion is abominable, the Bible does not say abortion is the unforgivable sin, even if we wish to think so. In my opinion, I think that those who’ve had or performed abortions and refuse to repent would, in the right circumstance, would even murder their already born children, no matter what age, because unrepentant people don’t respect human life. Romans 1:28-32 speaks of other sins that will keep unrepentant people, and those who agree with them, out of heaven. People who believe that abortion acceptable under any circumstance lack moral character and are considered wicked, because they are destroying something made in God’s image. God says He will avenge wicked acts committed against the unborn. But they can be forgiven if they repent of of their sins. And only God can grant repentance. They can’t bring back the life they killed, but God can and I believe He will. I believe God does not forget those aborted babies.

In your previous post, you complained that people thought you were hateful. So, as these other Christians here are telling you, murder is not an unforgivable sin. You contradict the New Testament. David murdered his officer to steal his wife. David repented, and accepted the cure from Nathan that he would have to wage war all his life, and accepted the death of his infant child that resulted from his sin, and loved God the remainder of his life, wrote 71 Psalms, actually wrote the bible, and became the archetype for the Messiah. But you would tell people that he is in hell because murder is an unforgivable sin. All sin is forgiveable. The issue is repentance, and repentance is enabled by the Holy Spirit, therefore, as multiple people here are telling you, the only unforgivable sin is rejection of the Holy Spirit.
The reason you did not reach out to me when I needed it is because God did not inspire you (that, and you’re likely not human or not who you present yourself to be) because you wouldn’t have been able to help me because you do not have wisdom. You’re just a cultural Christian, and you are raging about a sin popular to rage against in Christian culture, and you are creating your own doctrines in complete ignorance because you are inspired by an unforgiving spirit. Dorothy Day repented and became a prolife advocate for the rest of her life.
I feel like I am talking to Joseph Smith. Or Balaam. You really should pray for an understanding heart. Or ask your husband, or your wife, since you are likely Mike the Truck Driver pretending to be a hot chick to get likes, to teach you the scriptures, which you don’t seem to know very well, and to pray with you to receive a spirit of mercy, compassion, and understanding. Hate to be so insulting. But you prayed to be the light of the world, and that the world would see God’s love through you. And here you are saying that any sixteen year old girl who gets an abortion goes to an endless hell of fire, even if she spends the rest of her life as a prolife activist. You’re saying King David is in hell. I am impressed that you approved my comments and responded to them. I’ll take that as a sign that God is working with you, as you just prayed that people would see God’s love through you, so it looks like instead of God sending you to me to comfort me in my hour of need as I had hoped, he apparently sent me to you to bash you on the head to knock some sense into you. Just because the sin of abortion offends you to the point that your blood boils, you don’t get to declare that anyone who gets an abortion goes straight to hell with no opportunity for forgiveness. You have no idea the guilt that so very many women who get abortions carry. It’s a total John 3:19 scenario. I’ve seen it first hand.
So, as an answer to your prayer, God sent me to you to let you know that you need some work if you’re going to be the light of the world. And I am still here in this hotel talking to the internet instead of real people.

Our opinions don’t matter in light of Biblical truth (thank God!). In Matthew 12:32, we’re given this insight.
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
This is the only sin referred to as “unforgiveable” but if you examine the context of Matthew, Mark, and Luke where this sin is mentioned, you’ll see the truth behind it as well.
I wrote about this issue here: https://cartfx.wordpress.com/2023/09/30/can-the-holy-spirit-be-blasphemed-today/ If you’re interested.

Thank you for always speaking God’s word boldly. I love to read your writings.💓
I love the story of the woman caught in adultery and was brought to Jesus for Him to certify that she should be stoned to death, because adultery was a capital offence. But Jesus forgave her and told her to go and sin no more.
I feel that sometimes, we are in a hurry to condemn others but what Jesus wants for them is to return to Him, even at the dime minute, just like the robber who was crucified with Jesus and he was promised eternity with heaven.
From the precedence in God’s Word, God’s mercy and love still prevails and the blood of Jesus which speaks better things than the blood of Abel makes atonement for our sins including abortion.
God wants us to see these people with the eyes of love and do what we can as He helps to reach out His love to them.
Thank you.💓💓

While I understand religion, im not sure you quite understand abortion. You see, most of the world revolves around SCIENCE, and if we didn’t rely on science, well we wouldn’t be here. Abortions are quite literally live saving medical procedures. My best friend, a long with many American women, would not be alive without abortions. I really encourage everyone to do some research. Furthermore, banning abortions with no exception would include banning them from women whom have miscarried and have already lost the baby due to natural causes, and they would need an abortion procedure in order to live, and maybe have a baby one day. Let us not stray from science and medical research, lets protect healthcare.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read and comment. I’m sure you are a very nice person, so I know I am coming off quite aggressively, but I feel more deeply about killing babies than saving the life of the mother. I just do.

If you care so deeply about saving babies, I feel you should spend your time advocating for foster conditions and resources for struggling mothers. Our foster care system is extremely corrupt and overflowing, we need that to change. Many women get abortions because they feel they dont have the resources to needed healthcare during pregnancy wether it be with health insurance or not being able to get pregnancy leave from work, those are things you can advocate for. Young children dying in school shootings, thats something you can advocate for. Hungry children living in poverty, thats something you can advocate for. I dont think banning a life saving medical procedure and removing freedom of other peoples bodies and lives is very “pro life” or “caring of babies and children” of you… not to mention the statistics on how many pregnancies are caused by rape… Its a great thing to care about children, I dont think you are doing it right though.

The unborn fetus is believed to have a soul, which leads to the view that abortion is considered murder. However, murder can be forgiven if the person who committed it sincerely repents. The only unpardonable sin is the refusal to repent, which is seen as a sin against the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:16-17). For an act of abortion to be classified as murder within Catholic theology, it must fulfill all the criteria that constitute a mortal sin. These criteria include that the act must be a serious offense against God and His commandments. The individual must make a deliberate choice to disobey God’s law, fully aware that it is wrong and with the complete consent of their will. If someone dies in a state of mortal sin without repentance, they are said to be deprived of God’s sanctifying grace and, as a result, face eternal damnation.
There are several factors that can mitigate a person’s culpability when committing a mortal sin: Unintentional ignorance: Not knowing that an act is sinful. Inadvertence: Committing an act accidentally or without intention. Duress: Being subjected to external pressure or coercion that impedes free will. Fear: Experiencing a reasonable fear of harm or danger, which can make it challenging for a person to act freely. Inordinate attachments: Having a strong emotional attachment to a person or thing can cloud judgment and influence choices. Psychological and social factors: Issues such as mental illness, emotional disturbances, developmental disorders, or social and economic pressures can hinder a person’s ability to act freely and with full knowledge. Immature emotional development: This can impair decision-making abilities and reduce a person’s culpability for their actions. These factors are crucial to consider when assessing the moral implications of an individual’s actions. I believe God takes these factors into consideration when judging a soul. God is just and merciful.
