Inspirational Bible Verses and Quotes to Share with Friends & Family

Hi, it’s me the Christian Tech Nerd! We don’t know each other, but we must have many of the same beliefs if you’re taking time out of your day to read my blog which I very much appreciate!

My goal in life is to put smiles on people’s faces while at the same time shining a positive light upon Christianity and the word of God!

Romans 8:38-39

      1. Thank you for following my blog! A favorite verse is Jeremiah 6:16 (NKJV)
        16 Thus says the Lord:
        “Stand in the ways and see,
 And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, 
And walk in it;
 Then you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
        I love the first part of this verse… the timeless reminder. For, indeed, there we find rest for our souls! Oh, the mercy and grace God shows us stiff-necked people!

  1. You asked, so here are a couple of my favorite verses:
    Romans 3:28 — We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
    Colossians 1:17 — He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
    Grateful for your willingness to shine in the tech world as a Believer in Jesus. Grateful He captured your heart so early. I was 33 when he captured mine and have been walking with Him for over a quarter of a century now. Stand firm in the faith and let Him be your Guide, Counselor, and Best Friend. He will not fail you.

  5. A lot is being said about “mistakes” in the Bible, but that notion put control of God’s word into the hands of humanity and ultimately Satan. If God is sovereign (and I believe He is), He controls the translations too and there never were or will be mistakes. God reveals Himself a bit at a time, but the truth He revealed from creation.
    Our issue always has been understanding God! What we see as “mistakes” may simply be simply God revealing different aspects of Himself. While it may grate on me to hear people say God allowed a mistake in the Bible, I have to remind myself that He might be speaking to a specific individual through that person. Since He is in absolute control, He has that option. I have to ask Him for wisdom (James 1:5) and what He is saying to me!

  6. There are no words greater than the Word of God. Thank you for using your platform to share and spread the Abundant Life spoken of by Jesus Christ in John 10:10. One of my favorite scriptures comes from Jeremiah 29:11 NIV “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

    I forget the source, but I read once that people need to have hope. If we lose hope, we wither away and die. I feel this verse speaks to that. Keith

  8. You seem to be a smart, spiritual person. I am wondering what your take is on the academic study of the Bible. I always thought that the reason folks apparently ‘lived longer’ in the older biblical story was that they tended to exaggerate back then to make a point. Just as today we say, “I fell head over heels” and “Let’s shoot the moon!” People don’t actually fall head over heels or shoot the moon in the literal sense. 👼

  12. In the Bible there are many times the Lord calls to EACH of us, ‘Come unto me.’ OT and NT both. He WANTS personal relationship.

    Talking with him is as close as my through-the-day thoughts. In fact, I believe he intertwines my thoughts. He wants intimacy.

  14. I am not sure if I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, but I do think he really lived. I learned in college that he was at least a political figure, according to history.

    God, on the other hand, seems a bit more realistic to me. He seems more likely to exist.

    I had it in my mind to read the bible. Got through the entire book of Genesis, and a bit of Exodus. I am trying to take religion from an empirical stance: Muslims, Jews and Christians all believe in the Old Testament, so I give that work a bit more weight than the New Testament.

    Thanks for visiting my blog. I will consider picking up the bible again, if only the Old Testament. It was an enjoyable read thus far.

    1. Hi Jeffrey,

      You’re taking a great step by reading the Old Testament. If you look closely, Christ is in the Old Testament as well as the New. Isaiah prophesied of Him as Savior and many other names, and many of the prophets plead with Israel to come back to the Lord and receive mercy and forgiveness. Jesus made that mercy and forgiveness possible. He was much more than a historical figure. Sometimes the most unlikely things are what we find to be true. 🙂

    I have a bunch of favourites but here are a few:
    Psalm 27:13 – I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 
    Isaiah 26:3-4 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You. Trust in Jehovah forever; for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. 
    Micah 7:8 – Rejoice not against me, my enemy; for if I fall, I shall arise; for if I sit in darkness, Jehovah shall be a light to me.
