I really love learning new prayers, or re-discovering a prayer that I haven’t heard in a very long time!
If you’re kind enough to be reading this article , I’d love, and very much appreciate, for you to share with me your favorite Christian prayers.
So if you have time, please post your favorite prayers, or even a Bible verse that’s extremely special to you in the comments section!
How Your Faith in Christianity Can Make Your Heart Stronger
We, as followers of Christ, have an incredible fortress at our disposal…
Our faith.
We’ve been taught not to be anxious, but to let our worries be known to God through prayer and supplication.
In doing so, a peace that surpasses any understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
One of our greatest tools for combating anxiety is forgiveness.
Holding onto grudges is proven to increase our stress levels, which can detrimentally impact our heart health.
On the other hand, forgiveness, a cornerstone of our faith, can reduce this stress and encourage a peaceful state of mind.
Forgiveness is not just about absolving others of their wrongdoings.
It’s about freeing ourselves from the chains of resentment that bind us, chains that place undue stress on our hearts.
When we forgive, we create an environment of peace and love within us, which promotes improved physical health.
Jesus Himself set the greatest example of forgiveness on the cross.
In the midst of pain and betrayal, He chose to forgive.
His words, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing,” echo in our hearts, reminding us of the power and necessity of forgiveness.
Practicing forgiveness is not always easy. It requires humility and strength.
But it’s important to remember that we’re not alone in this process.
We can always seek God’s help in prayer, asking Him to give us the strength to forgive just as He forgives us.
As we practice forgiveness, we are guarding our hearts from the potential effects of stress and anxiety.
Let us continue walking God’s path, and enjoy the health benefits along the way.
I’d like to share a song written many years ago, it was in spanish, so I’ll translate it:
Thank you, Lord, for the battles the world gives, that I might live through them, because you are my guide.
Thank you, Lord, for the trials that patience bring, so I learn how I must learn to love, and to know how to understand.
But it goes against everything in me, to give you my whole will, and to you Spirit full control of what I am.
At times I follow the impulses of my own desire, and I don’t obey the holy voice of God.
Thank you, Lord, for evrything I feel within. Well, I now that You will still help me, and protect me from the evil.
//Thank you, Lord, for when all is finally in its place, I will finally see your face, I will be there. //
Not sure about the author, but it’s a song that I have identified with for most of a lifetime.

When I pray right before bed, I always begin by thanking God for everything He’s done, is doing, and yet will do for me. That was inspired by a piece of wall art I saw at an apple orchard’s gift shop; it read “What if you woke up today only with what you thanked God for yesterday?”

All the prayers of David in the Psalms are good. I use Ps 34:4 quite often. “I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.”

My prayers are animated by praying with the scriptures,
Especially Jeremiah 31:33-34 where God makes three promises.

Dear God, thank you for everything that you are within me and thank you for everything that I am within you. Thank you for the abundance that surrounds me on all levels. Thank you for my home and all the plants, animals and birds that share it with me. Thank you for the work I did today and thank you for it going smoothly. Thank you for helping me to loose judgment comments and opinions over others and instead look at everybody from a place of love and a sense of oneness. Amen.
This is pretty much my prayer of gratitude I wrote and speak it at least two or three times a day before I meditate. Sending you much love, God Bless. ❤️

Father of the Lord Jesus Christ,
give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation
in the knowledge of You;
opening the eyes of my heart,
to know the hope to which You called me;
to know Your gloriously rich inheritance;
and to know Your surpassingly great power
available to me as a believer,
according to the mighty power that was
released when You raised Jesus from the dead
Eph 1:17-20 (adapted from TPT, ESV, Wallace
Ex Syn p 90,91)
Kenneth E Hagin said he prayed this for months, then suddenly he started gaining wisdom. I found the wisdom comes gradually.
