“I am Jesus…now get up and go… “

Recently something shifted in my spirit. It was quiet—no thunder, no lightning—but it was undeniably God. He interrupted my comfort, my silence, my prayer… with five words that feel like fire under my skin:

“I am Jesus… now get up and go.” (Acts 9:5 AMP)

I don’t even know where to begin, Lord. You’ve been pressing that verse on my heart all week. It’s been waking me up at 3AM. I’ve read it before, studied it, even quoted it. But this time it wasn’t just a story about Saul on the road to Damascus. This time, it was personal. Like… it was me lying there, blind, wrecked by Your holiness, trembling in the dust.

God, You called Saul by name. You stopped him mid-mission and gave him a brand new one. And You didn’t even explain everything right away. You just told him to “get up and go into the city”—and he obeyed, even though he couldn’t see.

Why does obedience feel so risky sometimes?
Why is comfort so seductive when calling is so clear?

I sat in my room tonight with worship music playing, tears falling down my face, Bible in my lap… feeling You. Feeling You so close I didn’t want to move. That mountain top moment—you were there, like You were with Peter, James, and John when You transfigured before them.

But like them, I have to come back down.

The mountaintop is beautiful, Jesus. I love the clarity, the closeness, the holy hush of it all. But the valley is where the work is. And You didn’t save me so I could sit. You saved me so I could serve. You called me not just to be comforted but to carry something—Your truth, Your gospel, Your name.

God, I’m scared sometimes. I won’t lie.

There are days I feel like Saul—wrecked, confused, unqualified. I’ve messed up. I’ve doubted. I’ve let my fear speak louder than my faith. I’ve avoided people You sent me to love. I’ve chosen silence over truth. I’ve sat in the rocking chair of comfort when You were saying, “Get up and go.”

But tonight You shook me.

You reminded me: You don’t call the qualified, You qualify the called.
And I am called.

Just like You told Saul, You’re telling me:

“I am Jesus…”
That’s it. That’s the authority. That’s the reason. That’s all I need to hear.
Not explanations. Not blueprints.
Just You.

You don’t owe me clarity. You’ve already given me the cross. That should be enough.

God, I don’t want to just talk about You—I want to walk with You. I want to move when You say move, even if I’m trembling. Even if I’m blind to what’s next.

I want to obey You without delay.

I’m done waiting for the “right moment.”
You are the moment.

I’m done acting like faith is a feeling.
Faith is movement. Faith is steps. Faith is getting up and going when You say so.

Jesus…
My Jesus.
I kneel in this quiet moment knowing You’re calling me higher and deeper. I know this fire in my chest isn’t hype, it’s Holy Spirit conviction. Don’t let me sit here any longer, playing it safe, praying for signs, waiting for ease. Let me trust You like Saul did. Let me get up blind but bold, broken but obedient.

Forgive me for loving comfort more than calling.
Forgive me for hoarding the mountaintop when You’ve called me to the mission field.

Fill me with courage, God.
Let me be a woman of action, not just emotion.
Let me carry Your name, even when it costs me mine.

Give me eyes to see the hurting, hands to heal, and a voice that doesn’t shrink back from the truth.
Let me not just be changed by You—let me be used by You.

So I will get up and go.

Not perfectly. Not always confidently.
But always with Him.

Why Do the 10 Commandments Scare Liberals and Atheists?

I can’t seem to stop thinking about the world around me and how far we’ve drifted from God. I was scrolling through the news this morning while sipping my coffee, and I saw another story about how public schools are being pressured to ban displays of the Ten Commandments. Again. It breaks my heart. What’s happening to our nation?

I’m 25. I was raised in a Christian home. I’ve never doubted that the Bible is the Word of God and that Jesus Christ is Lord. But more and more, I feel like I’m living in a world where loving God openly is seen as controversial—or even offensive.

Why do the Ten Commandments scare liberals and atheists so much? Why do they fight so hard to keep them out of schools, out of courthouses, off of walls, and out of sight?

The Ten Commandments are not hateful. They don’t incite violence. They don’t promote division. They are a simple, powerful list of God’s moral expectations for us. They’re good. They’re righteous. And I truly believe they are exactly what our nation needs right now.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” — Proverbs 9:10

I keep going back to that verse, and I wonder: is that what this is really about? Are people afraid of the wisdom that comes from fearing God? Maybe they don’t want to be reminded that there is a higher authority—Someone greater than themselves. We live in a culture that tells us to be our own gods. To follow our truth. To reject anything absolute. But God’s commandments are absolute. They don’t change with the times. They don’t bend to public opinion.

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” — Exodus 20:3

Isn’t that the first issue? We’ve created a society that worships self. We idolize fame, success, sexuality, independence, and human reasoning. That’s probably why the Ten Commandments feel like a threat to people who don’t believe in God or who follow secular or liberal ideologies. God’s commandments call out sin. They expose the parts of ourselves we’d rather keep hidden. And no one likes to be told they’re wrong.

Even for me—someone who believes wholeheartedly—there are times when God’s commandments are convicting. I read them and realize how far I fall short. But that’s the point. They’re meant to lead us to repentance and to Jesus, who fulfilled the Law perfectly.

A Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your perfect law that teaches us right from wrong. Thank You that when we fall short, You offer us grace and salvation through Your sacrifice. Help me, Lord, to never be ashamed of Your Word. Give me courage to stand for truth even when the world mocks it. Amen.

I think liberals especially see the Ten Commandments as “imposing religion.” They argue that schools are supposed to be neutral, but the truth is, they’re not neutral anymore. They promote secular ideologies all the time—like gender identity theory, moral relativism, and humanism. Those are belief systems. They just don’t want God to have a place.

Atheists, on the other hand, often argue that morality doesn’t require religion. But I wonder—if there’s no God, then what’s the foundation for good and evil? Who gets to decide what’s right and wrong? Without an objective standard, everything becomes subjective. That’s what we’re seeing now. A generation of young people raised to believe there are no absolute truths—and we wonder why society feels chaotic.

“Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” — Judges 21:25

That verse feels like a perfect summary of modern culture. When people reject God’s commands, they end up creating their own. And those man-made rules constantly shift based on feelings, trends, and popular opinion.

I remember learning the Ten Commandments in Sunday school as a little girl. I still remember the colorful poster on the wall:

  1. No other gods
  2. No idols
  3. Don’t misuse God’s name
  4. Keep the Sabbath holy
  5. Honor your parents
  6. Don’t murder
  7. Don’t commit adultery
  8. Don’t steal
  9. Don’t lie
  10. Don’t covet

There is nothing harmful in these commands. In fact, if everyone just lived by even half of them, the world would be a better place. Less crime. Less cheating. Less greed. Less selfishness.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.” — 1 John 5:3

God never gave us these laws to control us or to make us feel small. He gave them because He loves us. He wants to protect us—from each other and from ourselves.

So when I see people fighting so hard to remove the Ten Commandments from public view, I don’t see that as strength—I see it as fear. They’re afraid of truth. Afraid of conviction. Afraid of accountability.

But more than anything, I think they’re afraid of surrender.

Because once you admit there’s a God, you have to reckon with the fact that you are not Him. And that means you need saving.

A Prayer:

Father God, I lift up this nation to You. We’ve strayed so far from Your truth. So many hearts are hardened. So many minds are deceived. But I know nothing is too hard for You. Lord, open the eyes of the lost. Let Your Word go forth boldly in schools, in homes, in churches, and in government. Let revival begin, even if it starts with just a few faithful hearts. Let it start with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I don’t write all this because I think I’m better than anyone else. I’m not. I’m just a sinner saved by grace. But I can’t stay silent anymore. I can’t keep watching the world fall apart while Christians are told to stay quiet, to be “tolerant,” to keep our beliefs to ourselves.

The Ten Commandments aren’t hate speech. They’re God’s loving boundaries. And the more we ignore them, the more damage we cause. That’s not just theory—I see it in the brokenness around me. Broken families. Confused kids. Violence. Addiction. Anxiety. So much of it is spiritual.

God’s law isn’t outdated—it’s timeless. He knew what humanity would need, even thousands of years later. We keep trying to reinvent the wheel, but all we do is make it wobblier.

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34

We need righteousness again. We need to lift up God’s truth—not hide it away like it’s shameful.

So tonight, I’m praying boldly. I’m asking God to give Christians courage. To give school leaders wisdom. To give lawmakers conviction. And to give lost hearts a hunger for something real.

Because nothing is more real than God.

Final Prayer:

Lord, I know You are still on the throne. No court ruling, no social trend, no political movement can dethrone You. Help me trust in Your plan. Help me be a light in this dark world. And help me never be ashamed of the gospel or the commandments that reflect Your holy character. Give me grace to speak truth in love. And give me strength to stand, even if I stand alone. I love You, Lord. I trust You with my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Final Word: Why the Bible Still Speaks Today

Today, I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude as I opened my Bible—the living Word of God. It’s not just ink on paper. It is breath and truth, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it still speaks with clarity, authority, and compassion into every broken, confused, and distracted corner of our world.

There’s a lot of noise around us—so many opinions, ideologies, and distractions fighting for our attention. But in a world spinning ever faster into chaos and confusion, the Bible remains a steady voice. It is the voice of God. It doesn’t shift with cultural tides or bend to human preference. It stands. It convicts. It comforts. It corrects. And ultimately, it reigns as the final Word on all that is truly glorious.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” – Isaiah 40:8

This morning, I sat in the quiet before sunrise, coffee in hand and Bible open, reading from John 1. The words leapt off the page: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” My heart stirred. Jesus is not only the fulfillment of the written Word—He is the Word made flesh. And what God has spoken through Him will never pass away (Matthew 24:35). He alone defines truth, beauty, and what is worthy of praise.

The world, however, seems to be on a different path. So many are quick to dismiss the Bible as outdated, irrelevant, or intolerant. My heart aches for them. Not out of superiority—but out of sorrow. Because without the truth of God’s Word, how will they know the way to life? Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). That’s not a suggestion. It’s a final word.

As believers, we cannot afford to be silent about this. We are called to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13–16). We must hold firm to the authority of Scripture in a world that desperately wants to rewrite truth. God’s Word isn’t just a good book—it is The Book, divinely inspired and profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). It tells us what is glorious—what reflects the heart and holiness of our Creator.

When I look around and see what society now calls “glorious,” it grieves me. So often, it exalts pride, self-expression without boundaries, sexual immorality, greed, and rebellion against God’s order. But the Bible makes it clear: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil” (Isaiah 5:20). What God calls sin is not a matter of personal interpretation or cultural evolution—it’s eternal truth. And truth has consequences.

This is where my heart becomes burdened for the lost—those who don’t believe, those who reject or ignore God’s Word. The Bible is not ambiguous about the fate of those who die without Christ. Hebrews 9:27 says, “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” That is sobering. That is real. And while God is rich in mercy and slow to anger (Psalm 103:8), He is also just. There is a day coming when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10–11). For some, that day will be one of eternal joy. For others, one of eternal regret.

I don’t write these things from a place of condemnation. Lord knows, I too once wandered far from Him. But His Word found me. It cut through my sin, my pride, my pain, and called me home. His grace changed everything. That’s why I believe the Bible still speaks today. Because I am living proof of its power. It rescued me. It guides me. And it anchors me when the world tries to shake my foundation.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for its unshakable truth, for its power to heal, convict, and restore. Help me, Lord, to treasure it more deeply and obey it more faithfully. Give me boldness to speak its truth in love, even when it’s unpopular. Open the hearts of those who have not yet received You. May they see the beauty of Your Son, Jesus, and surrender their lives before it’s too late. Let Your Word go forth and not return void, just as You promised in Isaiah 55:11. Amen.

If anyone happens to read this article one day, I want them to know this: There is only one voice that has the final say over life and death, over right and wrong, over what is glorious and what is not. That voice is the voice of God, revealed in His Word.

The invitation is still open. While we have breath in our lungs, we can turn to Him. He is patient, not wanting any to perish, but for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). But let us not mistake His patience for permissiveness. The day of the Lord will come like a thief.

So to the one reading this who may still be on the fence—don’t wait. Open your heart. Open His Word. He is calling. And His Word will always be the last word.

Faith and Friendship: Christian Verses to Speak Life and Hope

Lord, I felt You stirring my heart today to reflect on the kind of friend I am—and the kind of friend You’ve called me to be. In a world that often feels heavy and uncertain, I want to be someone who brings light and life to those You’ve placed in my path.

I opened my Bible this morning and found myself soaking in verses that speak truth and hope over relationships. Your Word is alive, and I felt You nudging me to share these promises—not just in texts or cards, but in how I live and love.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” — Proverbs 17:17

This reminds me that true friendship is not about convenience. It’s about being present, especially when it’s hard. Help me be that kind of friend, Jesus.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

I want to be someone who lifts others up, not just with words, but with prayer, presence, and patience.

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18

God, let my love for my friends be more than sentiment. Let it be active and true.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11

When someone feels like giving up, let me be the voice that reminds them of their worth in You.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

There is something holy in simply showing up. Help me carry the weight when someone can’t carry it alone.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17

Lord, give me friendships that challenge me to grow, not just feel good. And help me do the same for others.

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” — Romans 12:10

Forgive me when I make it about me. Humble me. Teach me to serve and honor those I care about.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” — John 15:12

Your love was selfless and sacrificial. That’s the standard—not what’s easy.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Jesus, You laid down Your life for me. Let me lay down my pride, my time, even my comfort if it means loving others well.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.” — Numbers 6:24–25

I want to speak these words over the people I love. May they feel Your favor on their lives.

Lifting Up One Another: A Christian Call to Encourage in Times of Need

Life has a way of bringing seasons we never asked for—loss, illness, heartache, or just deep weariness that words can’t fix. And when those seasons come, one of the greatest gifts we can give each other is the gift of encouragement. As Christians, we’re not only called to love God but to love people—and that love must show up when it matters most.

The Bible reminds us again and again that we were never meant to walk through pain alone. “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). This isn’t just a suggestion—it’s a calling. When someone we love is hurting, our presence, prayers, and words can be the very lifeline God uses to sustain them.

I’ve been on both sides—lifting others up and being lifted myself. I remember a time when I faced a painful loss. No one could fix it, but a few dear friends showed up with simple kindness: meals, scripture texts, or just silence and a hand to hold. Those moments helped me breathe again. They reminded me that even in the valley, I wasn’t alone—and neither was God.

Encouragement doesn’t have to be fancy. Sometimes it’s as simple as a phone call or a handwritten note that says, “I see you. I’m praying. You’re not forgotten.” Or maybe it’s sharing a Scripture that has carried us through our own storms. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18) is one I’ve whispered over many aching souls, including my own.

We are the Body of Christ, and when one part suffers, we all feel it (1 Corinthians 12:26). That’s why comfort isn’t optional for us—it’s part of how we reflect the heart of Jesus. He didn’t run from sorrow; He stepped into it. He wept with the grieving. He noticed the hurting. And He called us to do the same.

Let us be women who show up. Let us be people who don’t just say “I’ll pray,” but actually do—right there, in the moment. Let’s be vessels of hope in a world that desperately needs it.

And when we don’t know what to say, that’s okay. Sometimes, being present is enough. Just our faithfulness in those hard moments can point someone to the faithfulness of God.

How Can Anyone Be Okay with Abortions in the year 2025?

My heart feels especially heavy today.

I found myself asking, “How can anyone be okay with abortions in the year 2025?” In a time filled with so many resources, awareness, and medical advancement, it deeply saddens me that the value of life—especially in the womb—is still so often overlooked. Every life is a gift from God. Every heartbeat, a sign of His divine workmanship.

Let’s be real, ABORTION is STRAIGHT-UP MURDER! No If’s And’s or But’s About it!

Anyone who says life doesn’t begin at conception is lying to themselves—and deep down, I think they know it.

That might sound harsh, but I truly believe it. It’s not just a political opinion or some religious talking point. It’s truth—scientific, moral, and spiritual. From the moment of conception, something completely new and human begins. A unique DNA, a soul formed by the hand of God. That’s not potential life. That’s life. It may be small, quiet, unseen—but so is a heartbeat in the womb. And yet we know that heartbeat is sacred.

Psalm 139:13-14 comes to mind again, as it always does when I pray about this issue:

“For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

If God is the one doing the knitting, then who are we to say it doesn’t matter? Who are we to pretend nothing sacred is happening? It grieves me to see a world where truth is so often buried under convenience, fear, or personal justification. I don’t believe most people are truly ignorant. I think many just don’t want to face the weight of the truth—that what’s being ended in an abortion is a life. A human life. A child known by God.

But even as I write this, I don’t want to come from a place of judgment. That’s not my place. Only God sees the heart. I don’t know every story or every pain. But I do know this: truth doesn’t stop being truth because it’s uncomfortable. And life doesn’t stop being life because someone is afraid to call it what it is.

So I will keep praying. I will keep speaking up for the unborn. I will keep trusting that God’s truth will break through the noise. And I will try—every day—to live not with anger or pride, but with truth in love.

I turned to God’s Word, and it brought me comfort and conviction:

“For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
— Psalm 139:13–14

How can such a sacred truth be denied? These verses remind me that God’s fingerprints are on every soul, even before they take their first breath. Life is not an accident—it is a divine intention.

Another verse comes to mind:

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.”
— Proverbs 31:8

God, please help me be brave. Help me stand for life—not just in words, but in action. Let me be someone who shows compassion and grace while never compromising the truth that all life matters, from the very beginning.

A Prayer from My Heart:

Heavenly Father,
I come to You with a heart full of grief and longing. The world feels so far from Your design—so quick to discard what You call sacred. I lift up every unborn child to You, Lord. You see them, You love them, and You know them by name.

I also lift up every woman who feels broken, afraid, or pressured. Please wrap them in Your love. Show them that they are not alone, and that there is always hope and healing in You. Let Your Church rise up with grace and courage—to protect life and care for every soul involved.

Help me to reflect Jesus in how I speak, act, and serve. Let my heart break for what breaks Yours, but let my words always be clothed in compassion and truth.

Reflecting deeply on the sanctity of life and the moral implications of abortion

As a Christian, I believe that every life is precious in God’s eyes, and this conviction leads me to assert that abortions should not be allowed to take place in America, or anywhere in the world. Every life, from conception to natural death, holds intrinsic value and purpose.

Biblical Foundation for the Sanctity of Life

The Bible provides clear guidance on the sanctity of human life. In Psalm 139:13-16, David writes:

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” (ESV)

This passage underscores the belief that God is intimately involved in the creation of life from the very beginning. The unborn are not unseen or insignificant; they are known and valued by God.

Furthermore, Jeremiah 1:5 states:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you…” (ESV)

This verse emphasizes that God’s purpose for individuals begins before birth, affirming the inherent dignity of every human life.

The Moral Argument Against Abortion

From a moral standpoint, abortion involves the deliberate termination of an innocent human life. Exodus 20:13 commands:

“You shall not murder.” (ESV)

This directive reflects the principle that taking an innocent life is morally wrong, a view that aligns with the Christian understanding of the sanctity of life.

Additionally, Genesis 9:6 reinforces the value of human life:

“Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for God made man in his own image.” (ESV)

This verse highlights the seriousness of taking a human life, as humans are made in the image of God.

Compassionate Support for Women

The Christian community is called to embody Christ’s love by offering practical assistance to women in need. This can include providing resources for prenatal care, offering adoption services, and creating a supportive environment that empowers women to choose life.

Prayer for Life and Compassion

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of life. Thank You for knitting each one of us together in our mother’s womb and for knowing us before we were born. I pray for the protection of the unborn and for a society that values every human life.

Lord, I also lift up women facing unplanned pregnancies. Grant them wisdom, courage, and the support they need to make life-affirming decisions. May Your love shine through us as we offer compassion and assistance to those in need.

I’m just going to say it plainly—Christians are better people than liberals. Fact. I know that might sound blunt, but it’s what I truly believe.

It may not be a popular opinion—and certainly not one that should exist—but deep down, I truly believe that following Christ leads us to live differently, and yes, better. Not in a self-righteous or prideful way, but in a real, practical, moral way that honors God and brings order to life.

It’s not just about religion—it’s about values. About believing in truth that doesn’t change with trends. About loving life from the womb to old age. About protecting children, defending family, honoring marriage the way God designed it, and understanding that our identity comes from Him—not from feelings, politics, or public opinion.

What I see coming out of liberal ideologies today breaks my heart. I see abortion praised like it’s an achievement. I see confusion taught to children as if it’s truth. I see God’s name mocked and His Word ignored. And then, anyone who disagrees—even kindly—is labeled hateful, dangerous, or backwards.

No, Christians aren’t perfect. I know I’m far from it. But the difference is that we strive to live under God’s authority. We confess our sins. We try to grow. We don’t celebrate rebellion—we repent from it. And I don’t see that same humility or hunger for righteousness in the liberal worldview. That’s the key difference.

I believe God has set His people apart for a reason. Not to feel superior—but to be a light.
And maybe that’s the real truth behind what I’m feeling. Not that Christians are “better” in an arrogant sense, but that we are called to live better—by a higher standard. A holy one.

I don’t say this with hate. I say it because I grieve for the direction this world is heading. I see people pushing so hard to be their own gods—deciding for themselves what’s right and wrong—and I know exactly where that road leads: emptiness. Darkness. Destruction.

So if that makes me sound “judgmental,” so be it. I’d rather be judged by the world than be silent in the face of evil. I want to be someone who speaks truth, even if my voice shakes. Someone who chooses righteousness, even when it’s unpopular. Someone who honors Jesus above all, even when the world tries to silence me.

I know liberals won’t agree with this. They probably never will. But I pray they come to know the freedom that only Christ can give. Because once you know Him—truly know Him—you see life so differently. You value people. You protect the innocent. You want to live holy. You want to serve, not dominate. Love, not control. And that’s something no political platform can ever replicate.

So yes—I’ll say it again: I believe Christians live better lives, because we are living under the leadership of the only One who is truly good.

And for that, I’m not sorry.

Why God Wants You To Look People In The Eye

It feels like everyone is glued to their screens nowadays.

(Especially teenagers).

Whatever is going on in their smartphones is more important than everything around them.

They hold most of their conversations in there, and they rarely look at each other’s faces.

It seems harmless

But have you ever had a conversation with someone who refused to make eye contact with you?

It feels like they are not present. Like you’re talking to a wall.

Eye contact has almost become an endangered species.

Looking people in the eye, however, is an essential part of our faith.

You will see why in a minute.

As Christians, we love one another and strive to be a reflection of Christ’s love.

One of the simplest yet most profound ways to demonstrate this love is by truly seeing the people around us.

And this starts with making eye contact.

When we look into someone’s eyes, we are essentially saying, “I see you. You matter. You are important to me.”

This has a profound impact on our relationships and our faith.

In our Holy Texts, Jesus often looked deeply into people’s eyes as He ministered to them, healed them, and forgave them.

When we make eye contact with others, we unlock the door to a deeper level of communication and understanding.

By looking someone in the eye, we signal that we are present, we are listening, and we genuinely care. 

This allows us to connect with others on a more intimate level.

To share our joys and our sorrows, and to walk alongside one another on this journey of faith.

Eye contact is essential for our health and our spirits.

So, I encourage you to take a moment, look the people around you in the eye, and truly see them for who they are. Beloved children of God.

As we do this, we will greatly deepen our relationships.

And we will understand one another like Jesus understood His principles.

This is how you make eye contact with confidence.

Let us always remember that.

God Please Give Me Strength: Prayers for Strength

I hope everyone reading this is having an AMAZING day, but for those of you who are struggling, I’d love to share with you a few prayers that help lift me up when I’m feeling down and provide me with the strength I need to turn any frown upside down…

Prayer for God’s Strength:
Dear God, We thank you for the Power of your Word and your Presence over our lives. We thank you that no weapon formed against us will prosper, for greater are You who is in us, than he who is in the world. We pray that you will cast down every threat and accusation, every abusive word and cruel attack hurled our way. We praise you that nothing is impossible with you, that You are loving and gracious, full of mercy and might. We trust in you alone, to rise up strong on our behalf. Thank you that you are our Defender and Strong Tower, our Refuge and our Strength. Thank you that you fight for us today, and in our weakness, you make us strong. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

For Unfailing Strength:
Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then. Put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations, and say continually: “The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him and I am helped. He is not only with me but in me, and I in Him.

The Strength to Survive:
God, I thank You for providing everything we need to face difficulty with grace. I thank You for being present with me in pain. Please strengthen all the brothers and sisters who are persecuted for Your sake today. Help them to know they’re not forgotten in their suffering. Provide them with everything they need to stand strong. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer in the Storm:
When the storms rage around me, I can always run to You and rest, Lord. In turbulent times, in trials and temptations, in weakness or in fear, You are my strength, and Your hiding place is secure. Bless You, Lord, for being my refuge.

Hope in the One Who Doesn’t Grow Weary:
Dear heavenly Father, I praise You for who You are, the Eternal God. Forgive me for the times I’ve placed my hope in anything other than You. There is no substitute. I pray You realign my heart to Yours, and grant me strength for this day in You and You alone. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer for Strength in Adversity:
Lord, I pray not for tranquility, nor that my tribulations may cease; I pray for your spirit and your love, that you grant me strength and grace to overcome adversity; through Jesus Christ. Amen.

For Guidance and Strength:
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My heart is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the right way to a just and right resolution. Thank you for hearing my prayer and for staying by my side. Amen.

When I’m Overwhelmed:
Lord, You have shown me that falling is not always failing. You pick me up and rescue me when I am overwhelmed. You are Jehovah-sabaoth, the Lord of hosts, a tower of strength for me. I have no other place to run to, no other shelter in which to hide. I depend on You, Lord.

More Strength, Less Stress:
Heavenly Father, You are my Strong Tower, my Deliverer, and my Shelter. I’m running to You now. Please renew my strength. Please lead me with Your Holy Spirit and guide my day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for God’s Power:
Oh, God, today help us to live with faith. May it not be said of us that our faith is too small, or to help us to look to You, to see in You, Your infinite power. Your infinite glory, and greatness, and grander, and majesty, Your infinite ability. Keep us, oh God, from trusting in our power. Help us to trust in Your power. Help us to pray accordingly as we pray, even right now. God, help us to realize we’re talking to You, the king of the universe that has all authority and all power, who’s sovereignly ruling and reigning over all things. Help us not to underestimate You in our praying. As we pray for others, as we serve others, help us to do that cognizant of Your power.

For the Weary:
Lord, I need You. Please help me sift through the things in my heart, my mind, and even the things on my calendar. Thank you for being the source of all the strength I ever need. Lead me with Your Spirit today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For Strength and Wisdom
Thank you, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry out to you in my times of need. It is amazing to me that the Lord of the Universe would take time to listen to me and to care about what I say. God, there are things happening around me right now that I do not understand. Some of these things make me feel weak, helpless and afraid. Even in the midst of this, I know that you are the Lord. I know that the situation is in Your hand, and I trust You. I beseech you for strength and for wisdom that I would be able to endure this situation and be able to handle it in a way that would bring glory to Your name. In Jesus name. Amen.

In My Weakness, You Are Strong:
Lord Jesus, You are my strength and my defense. I humble myself before You, and I declare in my weakness, You are strong. There is no other like You. Thank You for clothing me in Your power and righteousness. I am enough because of You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer for Strength against Sin:
O God, in wonderful ways you created and redeemed mankind. Give us steadfast minds to resist the allurements of sin that we may attain the joys of eternal life. Hear us, O Lord. Amen.

Prayer For Divine Strength:
O mightiest King, co-eternal with the Father, by your might you vanquished hell and trodden death under foot, you have bound the strong man, by your miraculous power and the radiance of your unspeakable Godhead you arose as the second Adam from the tomb. Send forth your invisible right hand, which is full of blessing, and bless us all. Pity us, O Lord, and strengthen us with your divine power. Take away the sinful and wicked influence of carnal desire. Let the light shine into our souls and dispel the surrounding darkness of sin. The Yoke of Christ:
Jesus we come to You. We find rest in You. We need You. We need the pardon You give for our sin, we need the forgiveness You provide for our sin and we need You to help us walk with God. To obey God, to experience the delight of obedience to His commands. God, we need Your help through Christ to live this Christian life. We cannot do it on our own today. We couldn’t do it yesterday, we can’t do it tomorrow, we can’t do it today. Please help us, we pray. Help us in such a way that we find rest for our souls as we abide in Jesus, as we walk in the yoke with Jesus, as we learn what it means to follow Jesus we pray that our souls will grow into greater and greater rest with You. Enjoyment of You, delight in You because of the work of Christ in us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Christian Prayers for Forgiveness

I hope everyone reading this is having an AMAZING start to their week! I had a close friend of mine lie to me about something over the weekend, and when I discovered the truth I decided that it would be best to forgive my friend instead of keeping a grudge against her. I truly believe that forgiveness is a very important Christian rule that mus be taken seriously. I know that forgiving someone who wronged us is difficult at times, but if you do forgive then you can work on your friendship instead of allowing it to disipate.

Enough of me rambling, here are some Christian prayers about forgiveness that I would like to share with everyone today…if you have any prayers of forgiveness that you would like to share with me I would very much appreciate that!

Pray in true faith with these powerful words of forgiveness and be forgiven by the grace and mercy of our Lord. May these prayers for forgiveness bring you peace and comfort.

Prayer to God for Forgiveness of Sins


Even while I encourage you to pray this prayer, I caution you that saying words alone will not save you. Prayer doesn’t save. Only Christ can save. But prayer can be a means of reaching out to the Lord in true saving faith. If you pray these words in faith, Christ will save you. You can be sure of that.

Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith, I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen.

Prayer for Forgiveness and Salvation

Lord, Father all-powerful, and ever-living God, I thank you, for even though I am a sinner in the kindness of your mercy you have fed me with the precious body and blood of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Dear Lord, I thank You for the power of forgiveness, and I choose to forgive everyone who has hurt me. Help me set [name anyone who has offended you] free and release them to You (Romans 12:19). Dear Merciful Lord, thank you for your gift of forgiveness. Your only Son loved me enough to come to earth and experience the worst pain imaginable so I could be forgiven. Your Word says to “clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.” (Col. 3:14) Help me demonstrate unconditional love today, even to those who hurt me.

I understand that even though I feel scarred, my emotions don’t have to control my actions. Father, may Your sweet words saturate my mind and direct my thoughts. Help me release the hurt and begin to love as Jesus loves. I want to see my offender through my Savior’s eyes. If I can be forgiven, so can he. I understand there are no levels to your love. We are all your children, and your desire is that none of us should perish.

You teach us to “let the peace that comes from Christ rule in our hearts.” (Col. 3:15) When I forgive in words, allow your Holy Spirit to fill my heart with peace. I pray this peace that only comes from Jesus will rule in my heart, keeping out doubt and questions. And above all, I am thankful. Not just today, not just this week, but always. Thank you for the reminder, “Always be thankful.” (Col. 3:15) With gratitude, I can draw closer to you and let go of unforgiveness. With gratitude, I can see the person who caused my pain as a child of God. Loved and accepted. Help me find the compassion that comes with true forgiveness.

And when I see the person who hurt me, bring this prayer back to my remembrance, so I can take any ungodly thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. (2 Cor. 10:5) And may the confidence of Christ in my heart guide me into the freedom of forgiveness. I praise you for the work you are doing in my life, teaching, and perfecting my faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Forgive and Awaken Us


Lord God, heavenly Father, we all like sheep have gone astray, led away from the right path by Satan and our own sinful flesh. Graciously forgive us all our sins for the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ and awaken our hearts by your Holy Spirit, that we may abide in your Word and in true repentance and a steadfast faith continue in your Church to the end and obtain eternal salvation; through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one true God, now and forever Amen.
